I have some firearms that I no longer use, and would like to sell
legally. How do you go about that?

I know that when I buy a firearm, I have to register it. So if I wanted
to sell it how do I do it legally?

I know I could go to a gunshop and have them do it, but they would take
some of the profit or offer to buy it from me cheap and then sell it for
    a profit.

I'm sure it's not a hard process, just wondering...

    Thanks

It varries by state. When I lived in Conn. it was a process and probably 3 times as bad now.

In Georgia where I live now i can private sale without any paperwork, and have. ---

That would depend upon your state of residence and that of the prospective buyer. Here in the free state of Wyoming, private sales are not regulated at all. If purchasing from a FFL you need to perform paperwork and background check.

What state are you in? In Texas and Oregon we can just purchase privately without anything more than a sales receipt. Don't have to register anything - just the way it should be...

We have Facebook groups for it. No, you can't post it
'for sale' or anything, but you can post pictures, then
    people can private message you.

And in Tennessee, this is VERY very legal! And no registration
    either.

Where are you located? And what do you have? :-)

I guess I should have checked with the state website before asking.

Thanks WM for your reply. I have some moments when I have to think
about how to spell 'the'. I will check with the state to find out and
    reply back to the echo.

Thanks for your reply - Unfortunately I don't use FB. I had issues and
deleted my account long ago. But thats a good idea to start with maybe
some other 'groups'. I wasn't thinking and will check with the state
and reply back to let you know what I find out.

Oh wow... I wish I still lived in NY now. I too, have a Neos. Mine has green highights.... I'd like the carbine kit. Have wanted one ever since I found out they existed. Good luck finding a home for it. I'm already jealous of the new owner!
