Sauerkraut is "really good" with most basic meats. You roast a chicken in the fireplace, sauerkraut will work fine with it. You roast ribs, same thing. It is a classic with sausages or burgers.

I could see sauerkraut being good with meats like that. And as a side note, I've never seen or heard of anyone using their fireplace to cook food. :P

"Here's a breakdown of the classic toppings:
All-Beef Hot Dog: A natural casing, all-beef frankfurter is traditional,

Poppy Seed Bun: A steamed poppy seed bun holds everything together.

Yellow Mustard: Squeezed on top of the dog.

Bright Green Relish: A sweet, neon-green pickle relish.

Chopped White Onions: Fresh, diced white onions.

Dill Pickle Spear: A whole dill pickle spear tucked alongside the dog.

Tomato Wedges: Slices or wedges of fresh tomato.

Sport Peppers: A few pickled sport peppers for a bit of heat.

Celery Salt: A final sprinkle of celery salt."

As for Krystal, you can buy the White Castle burgers in the frozen

Sautee onions on a skillet, make a burger patty next to them. Smash
the patty down, and when you flip it, put it on top of the onions.
You get all of the hamburger grease cooking with the onions.

Slice of american cheese on top a few moments before taking it off,
and don't forget to grill the bun. Perfection.

that's wrong. that's not how you do an onion burger/ white castle style burger. the onions steam the meat and the bun.

I produce a whole lot of cabbage at home, therefore I produce a lot of sauerkraut as a cheap way of preserving it. I remember watching a video review for a fermentation tank and the guy running the review said "I don't know who would need a tank as big as this one". I have 6 which are about the same size as that one.

Sauerkraut is "really good" with most basic meats. You roast a chicken in the fireplace, sauerkraut will work fine with it. You roast ribs, same thing. It is a classic with sausages or burgers.

No Sauerkraut is an abomination, IMHO.

Grilling the hot dogs to have a nice little char on the outside even adds to the greatness.

Oooh yeah. Even better is roasting them over a fire, then the whole dog gets it and you get a nice crunch biting into it. Man, I miss camping.

You don't hear "over-medium" very often, but that's the way I like my eggs, too. Not so much a thin runny yolk, but just a bit thicker and not yet solid is perfect, IMO.

I like egg sandwitches so I try to fry my eggs so that the yolk is soft but not runny. It can be tough to gage since you can't see the yolk.

On the plate: White rice, scrambled eggs (on the rice), black pepper on both, broiled Spam slices beside the rice. Four ingredients. Superb.

Sounds good, but I'd make it brown rice; better for you.

you can get a step van for pretty cheap. they are nice and square and
the roof is a good surface for solar panels. you can insulate them and still have standing up room. Dont need a CDL and most people wouldn't have a problem driving them. Windowmaker bridges won't take them out because they aren't too high.

go on youtube they have some great videos.

You don't need a CDL for any kind of RV in Wisconsin, not even a 40+ foot class A bus. My RV is a class C, which is basically an E350 van front end with a small house on the back and over the top.

I'm not interested in anything smaller than what I have, to be honest. We started with a pop-up camper way back when, then had kids. So as the years went on, the camper got bigger.

But yes, I have seen the converted-to-living-space vans, which are called a "class B" RV.

There are people on Youtube doing a British version of VanLife -
converting narrowboats that were used in the 1700s and 18
00s to transport cargo along the canals in mid-England. It's a peaceful

I noticed you use MultiMail. Why do you prefer it over logging in to
    your BBS to read messages?

I'm not him, but will jump in for my $0.02 worth.

I use it because I like that I can define my editor of choice to use
when writing replies (I use 'nano' on Linux). Also it shows me any new
files that have arrived since last packet. Also makes it easy to stop
if needed and return later to finish reading/writing.

I've used multimail with other BBS mail but not my own.

Have you used readers on Linux? Anything besides MultiMail.

I don't know of any decent Linux alternatives. Long ago I used 'SLMR'
with a DOS emulator, but it was a little awkward, and I greatly prefer
    the functionality of MultiMail.

I know your using it on Win; but I use Linux for my BBS and daily stuff unless I'm on work computer which is MacOs.

    Same here.

Anybody else have comments/recommendations in using MultiMail?

Yes, see above. ;-) I highly recommend it.

I noticed you use MultiMail. Why do you prefer it over logging in to
    your BBS to read messages?

It has taken me some time to get the hang of using Multimail, but now
that I have been using it for a while it is starting to grow on me.
One reason why I like it is that I can use my editor of choice for
    message replies.

Anybody else have comments/recommendations in using MultiMail?

From what I can tell so far the only thing I have found challenging to
do in Multimail is replying to a sender privately via NetMail.
From what I have experienced the only way I can do this is to copy down
the sender information out of the message and go to the e-mail area and
fire up a fresh message to them.
I do not seem to have the option to replying to a message from an echo
    itself privately.

    your BBS to read messages?

I prefer console text editors, and like being able to bounce up and
down through different echoes reading new messages.

It's a bit of a throwback for me -- this setup is virtually identical
to what I used back in 1992 when I got my first BlueWave door for my
BBS. Back then, it was busy all the time with people reading messages
online. Once I got the door in place, my callers per day shot up and
    the quality of messages improved.

Have you used readers on Linux? Anything besides MultiMail.

Just MultiMail - my daily driver laptop was running Ubuntu, and I
duplicated the setup. I used nano instead of Qedit, my DOS editor.

Anybody else have comments/recommendations in using MultiMail?

...It's too bad ignorance isn't painful.

I think that depends on the network and the BBS, but I've been able to
send fido netmail via Multimail. DOVEnet uses QWK technology, I don't
think that works with sending netmail through DOVEnet.

I was trying to send mail through an ftn.
I think the reason why my client has trouble doing this is that when I
am reading an echo it only shows the echo number on the bbs such as 200x
for Dovenet, 300x for Fidonet and 400x for Fsxnet.
Based on this fact the MM client does not know that it is interacting
with an ftn based area so this is mostlikely why netmail can't be sent / received through the area directly.
When reading ftn based areas the only way I know what system the
messages are coming from is to read the origin line at the bottom of the message.
So the main issue I am having is that when using qwk with Multimail
every echo looks like a local area even though it may be connected to a network at the end of the day.

When I was a caller, BBSing was a late night activity - once
other callers had gone to bed and it was slightly easier to get
    through.

Nowadays, I've spent so much time working with ham radio and square
dance related material, I rarely have time for the BBS.

Since running a BBS, it's been a morning, coffee and breakfast
habit. I'm sitting here with a cup of coffee and a fried egg on
toast, as a matter of fact.

When I do logon, I end up doing QWK Mail, and that's about it. I
do try to update the weather and system bulletin data at least twice
    a day, though.

I logon to download the packets, and it's easier for me to do the QWK
mail first. Then, I can skip through the messages I don't need to read, although I'm still joined to a particular message area (weather related).

Another episode had the wife of Bob Crane (Hogan) as Klink's Secretary.
Klink couldn't dance worth a flip, and when Hogan said "I haven't danced
