Meet Loab, the mysterious and unsettling figure born from AI-generated
imagery that has captivated imaginations everywhere. Originally
discovered by Sweden-based artist Steph Maj Swanson in 2022, Loab
emerged through an AI technique called "negative prompt weights."

The haunting, devastated-looking figure became an unintentional product
of the AI’s latent space—appearing consistently in gory, eerie images no matter how much distortion was applied. Dubbed the “first AI cryptid,”
Loab became a viral phenomenon, embodying both the potential and the
    chilling unpredictability of AI art.

I brought Loab to life for halloween using an LED mask, AI-generated
images, and a grim reaper costume, recreating her unsettling aesthetic
    in the real world.
